Question 1

What is the right age for a hair transplant?

Accepted Answer

The most suitable age for a transplant is 22–25 and above, by which time the pattern of hair loss has stabilised. Medical treatments such as PRP, mesotherapy and LLLT can be started at 18 to slow down shedding.

Question 2

How do I know if I'm a suitable candidate?

Accepted Answer

Eligibility depends on sufficient donor-area density (nape), stable hair loss and good general health. This is assessed during a free consultation and trichoscopy.

Question 3

Do I need blood tests?

Accepted Answer

Yes, before the procedure we run a full blood count, hepatitis B/C, HIV and, when needed, thyroid and iron panels. These tests are mandatory for your safety and for planning the right treatment.

Question 4

How is trichoscopy performed?

Accepted Answer

Trichoscopy uses a special dermatoscope to capture magnified images of your scalp and follicles; it is painless and takes about 20–30 minutes. In the same session, density, hair diameter and scalp condition are assessed and a personalised plan is prepared.

Question 5

DHI or FUE — which is right for me?

Accepted Answer

FUE is faster and ideal for large areas; DHI uses the Choi implanter pen for channel-free direct implantation, with faster healing, and is preferred for delicate zones such as the hairline. We decide together which method suits you best after trichoscopy.

Question 6

Is mesotherapy suitable for women?

Accepted Answer

Yes, mesotherapy is very effective for female-pattern hair loss and stress- or nutrition-related shedding. A blend of vitamins, minerals and amino acids is injected into the scalp with fine needles; it is not applied during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Question 7

Is a hair transplant painful?

Accepted Answer

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia; you may feel brief discomfort during the anaesthetic injections, but no pain is expected during the procedure. Anaesthetic cream minimises the needle sensation.

Question 8

How long does the procedure take?

Accepted Answer

FUE hair transplantation takes 4–8 hours and DHI 6–8 hours, depending on the number of grafts. Breaks are possible during the procedure and the patient is discharged the same day.

Question 9

Will I be awake during the procedure?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you are awake throughout; sedation is used only in special cases and at the doctor's discretion. You can listen to music and use your phone during short breaks.

Question 10

Is PRP therapy painful?

Accepted Answer

A topical anaesthetic cream is applied before PRP; because fine needles are used, most patients feel only mild tingling. Any temporary tenderness subsides within a few hours.

Question 11

Can I combine LLLT with PRP?

Accepted Answer

Yes, LLLT and PRP can be combined for a synergistic effect; the laser boosts cellular energy while PRP provides growth factors. Your doctor plans the session frequency and sequence tailored to you.

Question 12

When can I wash my hair after the transplant?

Accepted Answer

The first wash is performed at the clinic by our team 24–48 hours after the procedure. For the next 10–15 days you are asked to wash with a special shampoo using a gentle pouring technique; normal washing starts after day 15.

Question 13

When does shock loss happen?

Accepted Answer

Implanted grafts typically shed within 2–3 weeks (shock loss); this is a normal and expected process. The follicles remain in the skin, so there is no need to worry.

Question 14

When do transplanted hairs start to grow?

Accepted Answer

New hair begins to grow in months 3–4, becomes visible by month 6 and the final result appears at 12 months. The first hairs may be fine and thicken over the following months.

Question 15

When can I exercise again?

Accepted Answer

Light walking is recommended after 3 days and intense exercise after 2 weeks. Avoid heavy sports for the first 10 days, as sweating and increased blood pressure can affect graft settling.

Question 16

How many PRP sessions do I need?

Accepted Answer

Typically 4–6 sessions are applied 2–3 weeks apart; 1–2 annual maintenance sessions are recommended. The number of sessions is set according to trichoscopy findings and the severity of hair loss.

Question 17

What is the recovery like after FUE?

Accepted Answer

Crusting and mild swelling may occur in the first 7–10 days; by day 10 most crusts are cleared. The micro-wound in the donor area closes within 1–2 weeks and leaves no permanent scar.

Question 18

How much does a hair transplant cost?

Accepted Answer

FUE transplant starts from ₺95,000 (≈ €2,900) and DHI from ₺115,000 (≈ €3,500); the price is set by the number of grafts. An exact personalised quote is given at your free consultation.

Question 19

Do you offer instalment plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we offer 6–12 month instalments on Turkish bank cards; for international patients we accept full card payment or finance options arranged through the clinic.

Question 20

Do you help international patients with travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes; we arrange complimentary or discounted airport pickup from Istanbul Airport, hotel booking and clinic transfers. Our concierge team supports you in Turkish, English and Arabic.

Question 21

What's included in the package?

Accepted Answer

The package includes consultation, trichoscopy, the transplant procedure, anaesthesia, first wash, 12 months of follow-up and aftercare products (shampoo, lotion). International packages also include hotel and transfers.

Question 22

Is the clinic sterile?

Accepted Answer

Yes; all surgical procedures are performed in a HEPA-filtered operating room using single-use materials, following ISO sterilisation protocols. Instruments are single-use or autoclave-sterilised.

Question 23

What are the risks?

Accepted Answer

The most common are temporary swelling, bruising around the forehead and eyes, and shock loss. Serious complications (infection, graft failure) are very rare; smoking and chronic illness can reduce the success rate.

Question 24

What if I'm not happy with the result?

Accepted Answer

The result is assessed at month 12; if the expected density is not reached, a second session with additional grafts is performed free of charge or at cost, per clinic policy. With aftercare and follow-up, our satisfaction rate is above 95%.
